Plant Information

Asteraceae

In the garden:

Achillea millefolium californica tolerates full sun, part sun, alkaline soil, sand, clay, seasonal flooding, high traffic (people walking on it),  and deer.

In the wild:

From what I can tell, this plant and its variants are widely distributed throughout the continent. 

Ethnobotany:

The leaves of this plant were used by native people for dermatology, toothache and stomach upset.
